The farm recipients where a public figure is recorded in a role in the Commerce Registry or the non-profit register. That is 568 of 16,701 ЕИК-bearing recipients (3.4%) and about €184m.
„Public figure" here is broader than elected office: besides MPs, ministers, mayors, councillors and magistrates it covers election candidates and the heads of public institutions — schools, kindergartens, medical centres, cultural institutes. About 30% of the people listed hold only such a position.
The register shows that the person is entered in that role; nothing more. Farm subsidy is paid by area and measure under published rules rather than at an official's discretion, so appearing in this list is not in itself an irregularity. The identity behind it is refused rather than graded: where the Commerce Registry knows the name for more than one person, no link is created at all.
The list separates „via a company" from „via an association", because they are different facts. 64 of the 568 are reached only by the second — and the local action groups (LAGs) among them are associations by design and the official channel for rural-development money, not a business interest.
