This page shows state budget expenditure for the selected year, broken down by type exactly as the Ministry of Finance reports it — and how it has moved over the years.
Four things worth knowing about the figures
Much of it is not spent by the state budget. The „Трансфери (нето)“ line is money passed to the pension and health funds, municipalities and universities, which then spend it — 58% of the section in 2024.
Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget is reported separately from expenditure and is not included in the total here — it is its own section of the cash report.
КФП reporting is cumulative from the start of the year, so each year is shown at its latest reported period. Adding the months would count the same money many times over.
The EU comparison is on a different basis — Eurostat measures the whole general-government sector (state, municipalities and social funds), while the figure above is the cash execution of the state budget alone.
