Where the money comes from

The state lives mainly on taxes. This page shows state budget revenue for the selected year, broken down by source exactly as the Ministry of Finance reports it — and how it has moved over the years.

Three things worth knowing about the figures

  • КФП reporting is cumulative from the start of the year, so each year is shown at its latest reported period. Adding the months would count the same money many times over.
  • An unfinished year is not a fall. The current fiscal year is reported only to its latest published month and is marked as such.
  • The EU comparison is on a different basis — Eurostat measures the whole general-government sector, while the figure above is the state budget's cash execution. They are not the same thing.
