Water (ВиК) — public procurement of the water sector

Almost every province has its own regional water company; Sofia is served by a concession, and in Pazardzhik the regional company is in liquidation with the service split across municipal operators. The Bulgarian Water Holding is the principal of 27 of the regional companies, but the parent buys almost nothing — the procurement is in the operators themselves. This page brings all 45 together: their consolidated public procurement and what they buy by function.

What you'll find

  • Operators in the water sector — each operator's procurement, linking to its own page.
  • What they buy — by function — network construction, water supply, sewerage and treatment, pipes and pumps, electricity.
  • Riverbed cleaning — €324M across 688 contracts from 184 awarders for cleaning and regulating riverbeds and gullies — responsibility split between municipalities, regional governors and Irrigation Systems.

Coming next: КЕВР indicators (water loss, tariffs by region), water rationing (NSI), reservoir levels (МОСВ) and the flood-risk map (РЗПРН).
