Companies and organisations

Search any company, association, chitalishte or foundation recorded in the Bulgarian Commerce Registry — over a million entries. The search reaches the whole registry: every name and every EIK, whether or not there is anything else to say about the company.

A separate view shows the companies with a public footprint — those that received public money, won a public contract, are linked to someone in public life, or hold NGO status. For the rest the registry gives a name, an EIK, a legal form and a status — and a seat only where the Commerce Registry recorded one, which is about a third of them. That is all this page claims about them.

The "linked to a person in public life" filter shows the organisations in which someone in public life — an election candidate, municipal councillor, mayor, minister, MP, magistrate or regulator — figures as an owner or in management per the Commerce Registry, or has declared a stake to the Court of Audit. The list runs in order of size: candidates and municipal councillors are the largest groups, and MPs are a small part of the set. Linking is by identity rather than by matching names: a name the Commerce Registry attributes to more than one person is refused. Where every entry for that person at an organisation has been withdrawn, the role is marked as former.
