Customs Agency — where customs revenue comes from

The Bulgarian Customs Agency (EIK 000627597) collects over €7bn a year for the state budget. Its revenue is mostly excise (on fuels, tobacco and alcohol), import VAT, customs duties and fines. This page shows the composition of that revenue by year, the 2025 excise product split, and the top countries of origin by import duty collected.

Figures are from the agency's annual "Митническа хроника" reports, converted to euro. See also the state budget and public procurement.
